Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Clarice. This amazing girl was surrendered to our rescue after she and her mom found themselves homeless and living in their car. Clarice's mom loved her dearly but realized she cannot give her the kind of life she deserves. She treated her well and did was best for Clarice. Prior to that, Clarice may have had a tougher road than we know with her lovable scarred up face - she's missing a portion of her top right ear and has had some surgical repair to resew the left ear which may or may not be functional.

Clarice has been in a temporary foster home only a few short days but in that time we've learned the following:

~She's housebroken

~She loves to entertain herself with toys of all kinds - squeaky, chewy, bouncy or fluffy - she will play in short daily spurts then sleep for hours

~She's all about the comforts in life - bean bags, dog beds, comfy couch or bed - you'll find Clarice there!

~She LOVES LOVES LOVES car rides (both short and long) and will sit in the car and wait patiently while you run errands

~She's fully content in the crate or left out when no one is home

~She enjoyed her grooming session - both nail trimming and shower- and was very easy going through it all

~She's good with kids and will follow the member of the family with the most food available

While her teeth age her at about 5 -7 years old, she has spurts of playful energy. The video below was only hours after arriving at the house, she was so excited and has since settled down a good bit. We are feeding her grain-free food and she’s allergic to chicken. So no food that contains chicken for her.  She gets along with other dogs when introduced properly and of the right temperament.

We have fallen in love with this funny goofy cuddle girl and would love to see her find her foster or adoptive home before she has to go back to a kennel due to the temp foster's work travel commitments. The kids in the temp foster family have declared her the easiest and most fun of our tenants - she goes with the flow and is a great companion. Please consider opening up your home and your heart to Clarice, she will give back tenfold to what she takes.
